Bidders:
Buyers must be registered before bidding. To register you must fill out the form at the office, and you will be given a bidding number All lots are open for inspection up to the point of sale, and are sold with all faults if any, unless otherwise stated by the auctioneer Lot descriptions and estimates are intended as a guide only, and any discrepancy between the catalogue description and the items/s will not be cause for cancellation of sale or adjustment in the price. Buyers need to fully satisfy themselves as to the condition & quantity of any lot prior to bidding. If there is a dispute, genuine in the auctioneer’s opinion, the lot shall be put up again and resold. The auctioneer’s decision shall be final There are very few lots with reserve prices, if we do not reach this price, then the offer shall be referred to the consignor, we shall endeavor to get a result for you as soon as possible Once lots have been sold, please do not touch the items, even if you are the successful bidder Successful bidders are able to pick up lots during the sale and for one hour after the sale finishes, we will also be open on Monday & Tuesday from 9am – 5pm. All lots need to have been paid for and picked up by 5pm Tuesday. Failure to do this may result in storage charges being levied. If you are unable to comply with this time frame please inform the office at time of purchase Do not forget there is a buyer’s premium of 15% (inc. GST) on top of the hammer price. Payment is by cash, eft, pre-approved cheque and credit card (no amex or diners). Payment by credit card will incur a 2% surcharge Please see a staff member before collecting goods, there is no self service. Our staff will be on hand to supervise and assist with removal of purchases Security surveillance cameras are installed on the premises and are recording at all times
Sellers:
Schedule of fees as per agreement a) The Auctioneer reserves the right to tip goods if they are deemed un-saleable, at the expense of the consignor. This may be done prior to or after sale The consignor warrants that he/she has authority to enter into this agreement with the Auctioneer It is agreed that prospective purchasers of the goods shall be entitled to inspect the goods at our auction rooms or wherever the place the goods are sold by appointment or during advertised inspection times – normal auction room viewing times being Friday 3pm to 7pm, Saturday from 9am to 4pm. and from 9am on the actual sale day until the commencement of the sale. We reserve the right to amend viewing times as necessary. It is agreed that all auction sales conducted by Bargain Hunt Auctions Pty Ltd shall be advertised in the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper on the Saturday prior to the sale. Bargain Hunt Auctions Pty Ltd. reserves the right to sell goods by public treaty or other means if we feel it is in the best interests of the consignor. It is agreed that the Auctioneer is authorized to sell the goods on behalf of the Consignor. a) That the goods are the lawful property of the consignor or as represented by his/her agent. In the event of legal dispute over the ownership of the said goods neither the Auctioneer nor his agents will be held legally liable for disposal of the said goods. b) Reserve (minimum) price (by written agreement only): see booking-in docket. c) Estimates given for anticipated selling price of goods should be used as a guide only. Consignors agree that goods shall be sold by the auctioneer with no guaranteed selling price. It is agreed that while the Auctioneer shall endeavor to take all reasonable care in handling and storing the goods, the Auctioneer only accepts the goods on condition that the Auctioneer is not responsible for loss or damage of any kind unless the insurance option is taken by the consignor. Bargain Hunt Auctions Pty Ltd can provide optional insurance which covers fire, theft and accidental breakages if the consignor has ticked the ‘optional insurance’ box on the form overleaf. It is agreed that the Auctioneer is required to account for the proceeds of the sale of the goods to the consignor within 31 days after completion of the auction subject to payment having been made by the purchaser. It is agreed that the goods are to be sold by auction on the Auctioneer’s usual Terms and Conditions of Sale, a copy of which has been inspected by the Consignor prior to his signature of this agreement as he hereby acknowledges. We reserve the right to sell goods by public treaty or other means if we feel it is in the best interests of the consignor.
